Abstract:
The Cadastre of Mineral Resources of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina includes solid mineral resources whose reserves are determined, classified, and recorded into categories and classes.
Energy and nuclear mineral resources: peat, lignite, brown coal, hard coal, oil (bituminous) shale, and uranium.
Mineral resources from which metals and their usable compounds can be produced: copper, lead and zinc, mercury, antimony, red bauxite, iron, manganese, nickel, cobalt, chromium, gold, tungsten, molybdenum, and tin.
Non-metallic mineral resources:
a) Industrial mineral resources: gypsum and anhydrite, sodium (rock) salt, magnesite, barite, white bauxite, chrysotile asbestos, talc, pyrophyllite, bentonite, kaolin, ceramic and refractory clays, brick clays, halloysite, fluorite, feldspars, graphite, wollastonite, keramzite, shales, lizenites, diatomite, perlite, sulfur, cement marl, quartz sand, quartz, quartzite and quartz raw materials, tuff, and carbonate mineral resources (dolomite, limestone, marble, and chalk).
b) Construction materials: technical–construction stone, architectural–construction stone, gravel, and sand.
Purpose:
The Cadastre of Mineral Resources of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina serves as a comprehensive database of solid, energy, nuclear, metallic, and non-metallic mineral resources, including their reserves, distribution, categories, and classes. The Cadastre enables systematic monitoring and recording of mineral resource deposits and occurrences, provides information on industrial and construction minerals, and supports planning, exploration, exploitation, protection, and sustainable use of mineral resources. It also serves as a legal and technical framework for record-keeping, the preparation of strategic documents, GIS databases, and the cadastre of approved exploration areas within the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Vector data have restricted use and are issued upon request.
